    ○一部ではすでに有名らしいんですが、麻生さんのこの話は驚きましたですね。 京王デパート新宿店は、「65 歳以下の客は要らない」という大胆な方針の下、今どきめずらしい増収増益のデパートなんだそうです。 なんでも社長さんが巣鴨の刺抜き地蔵に通って、高齢者をひきつける方法を探ったんだとか。その結果、巣鴨の商店街では、「店員がお客さんに名前で声をかける」ことを発見した。「かんべえさん、先日買った靴下はどうですか？」という具合に。

    ○そこでデパートでもお客さんに声をかけるようにした。行き場所が無くてデパートに来ている人たちにとって、これはうれしい。お客に声をかけることは、店員に対する査定にも反映されるようにしているというから念が入っています。それから、「客が迷うから、店内改装は絶対しない」など、高齢者フレンドリーな店作りをしているのだそうです。いちいち当たり前のことばかりなのですが、なるほどこれは流行るでしょう。最近の日本では、やれるはずの話をやれないことにして済ませている例が確かに多いです。
